History
Sivagangai is a wonderful small town which has the remnants of its glorious past. Founded by Sasivarnana Periya Udaya Thevar, he was considered to the first king of the Sivagangai dynasty. There is the Sree Vishwanatha and Sree Subramanya Temples also in Sivagangai which are considered to be the palace of the erstwhile rulers.

Kundrakudi:Situated near Thiruppathur near Sivagangai, Kundrakudi is famous for temples and the temple of Lord Subramanya is located here in this place. For this reason a large number of pilgrims visit Kundrakudi
